Backyard Bonanza

After Big Bear it was time to dip into the Midwest for a little shred session/photo shoot at the Roland household. Burton team rider Alexis Roland and her family have built themselves one heck of a snowboard park right in their backyard! Her dad Shawn has transformed what would be a snowed in part of their property into a completely legit terrain park featuring boxes, jibs, pole jams, tree bonks and snowmaking! All perfect for snowboarding. 

I'm here through the weekend, along with Burton grom team riders Gabe and Brock to document any sort of mischief and snowboarding that goes down in the backyard. Day one was non-stop action from 9AM until 9PM, filled with a whole lot of riding, barbeque lunch, a fine pizza dinner and some mellow refreshments to end the evening. Day two promises more fun with these mini rippers!

A big shout out to the Roland family for having us come out to shoot and session their one of a kind terrain park. Blotto
