The Adventures of KP, Vol 4
Volume 4 brings you over to Munich, Germany for the 2007 Air and Style Competition. This is Europe’s biggest jumping contest in snowboarding, and it’s quite an honor to be one of the 16 invited riders.
Kevin made it through the rider vs. rider qualification system…but in the first round; he had to battle his good friend Danny Davis (Danny was stoked for Kev!). Both gave valiant efforts, but Kevin came out on top and advanced to the next round. From there on out, it was smooth sailing into the “super final” where Kevin had to battle Torstein Horgmo and Mikkel Bang. For his final air, he went for the Cab 1260 and landed it, something he hadn’t tried in practice or any other time for that matter.
It was definitely a wicked contest considering all the invited riders were former Air and Style champions or winners of other significant contests. After the Munich competition, Kevin returned to Europe for the Air and Style Quarterpipe contest in Innsbrooklyn, Austria where he went on to claim another 1st place.
