One Year Ago Today

…one year ago today…why not look back into the 2009 calendar and see…
April 6th, 2009, I landed in Aspen, Colorado to partake in the TWS Magazine Team Shootout. TWS invited four snowboarding companies to round up five of their team riders, create a man-made snow feature to their liking and create a 5-minute video. Any and all ideas were acceptable and to be built by the park crew at one of these four resorts: Snowmass, Northstar at Tahoe, Bear Mountain, Sierra at Tahoe.
For the photography, each team was assigned one of four Transworld Senior Photographers. Our crew teamed up with Frode Sandbech, our main man from Oslo, Norway.
Seeing how Frode would be primary angle with a very specific shot list, I was given the task to shoot whatever was going on during the gathering, from riders to action to environment. That was all good with me, purely a documentation assignment.
These images are from the first evening as the crew was warming up to the obstacle and figuring out the timing on double and triple maneuvers. I’ll post a couple more days worth of images tomorrow and next. Blotto.
