Surf Mission finale

At 7AM the crew was awake, stoked and ready to load up the cars and finish of this epic sight seeing tour. About half way down Highway 51, we pulled off the road to stretch the legs when we noticed this ship stuck in the frozen sea! It was pretty unreal to find a boat in a frozen ocean of snow...too cool! Back into the cars after this random stoke out, we pulled into Filefjell exactly at noon...our goal when leaving Grotli.
Before hitting the hip for our final session of this trip, Mark Sollors, Andro and I headed up Highway 53 (around the corner from our houses) to shoot a prebuilt road gap we tooled up a few days prior. Mark handled the kicker no problem and threw down a bunch of FS360's and BS180's.
After shooting the photos, Andro asked if I would drive the car down the road while he filmed from the rear hatch as Mark jumped over the pavement. That request was no problem, I was more than happy to contribute a little car-dolly action! Since I didn't want to miss a photo opportunity, I set up the camera on a tripod next to Andro and fired the shots remotely while driving the car...multi tasking at it's finest! haha.
A great road gap session led to a beautiful afternoon on the hip jump...no wind, no dicey weather, just big smiles all around because we were ending the snowboarding season on an epic jump with epic dudes. We hung around on the mountain until 9PM shredding, filming and throwing high-fives. Jack, Kazu and Charles all threw down some gnarly moves that made my back hurt just watching them land!
Tomorrow morning we clean the houses, pack up the cars and head into Oslo to catch our flights home. I'll post some shots from our final traverse outta the mountains and into the city next couple of days. Peace, Blotto
