NYC vs Toronto

nyc_trn_open.jpg

Since it's officially summer now, I thought I should post some flicks from a couple of days crusing the streets of New York City and Toronto in the non-winter months.

Brooklyn local and fireman Mike Hernandez (Ladder Company 118) invited me out for a bicycle tour of NYC on a couple of different occasions over the past summers. Mike grew up riding and skating the streets of The Big Apple, so rolling with local number one is quite a treat due to his endless knowledge of routes, cut-throughs, food stops and everything else you need in the city.

In contrast, Liam Griffin and I tackled the streets of Toronto last summer not knowing one thing about the city. Zero knowledge of the roadways, where to eat, nothing, pure exploration mode. We hopped on the bikes, started pedaling and let the flow take us where it did.

It's quite a treat experiencing both scenarios...equal fun, equal adventure. Get outside today, it's nice. Blotto
