Off the coast of Mass

Having never been off the coast of Massachusetts State to a place called Nantucket, I decided to bounce outta Vermont for the 4th of July weekend. With a bike, a bag and a place to stay in hand, it was on.

The drive from Burlington to Harwich Port, Cape Cod is five hours, where you park the car and hop on the ferry that brings you across Nantucket Bay (1 hour). Once on the island, you're sitting on a piece of land that measures a mere 50-square miles (80.47 KM) in total.

What the island lacks in square footage is made up with the amount of people inhabiting this place during the months of July, August and September. The population triples during these hot summer weeks with residents, tourists and travelers seeking out sand, water and a good time.

I was there for the ocean aspect of this land and I got just that...not too many photo opportunities were acted upon. I shot a few images of the travel there and a few randoms from here and there...enjoy. Blotto
