Seattle Mariner'd

After the Camp of Champs photo shoot and hang out, I hopped in the car and headed south, direction Washington State. My main man Corey lives in Seattle, is equipped with multiple bikes and endless knowledge of the streets.
Over the course of two days we tried to visit every major borough from West Seattle to Capitol Hill (where we found a wonderful Chinese spot called Chungees, 1830 12th Ave). After a great sunset dining under the clear skies of the Northwest on Friday, it was off on the bikes once again on Saturday morning to tackle the mean streets of West Seattle, which led us to a dip in the ocean at Alki Beach. Water temps were chilly, but the blazing sun kept us in check. Moving down the road we spotted the water taxi, paid the fare, crossed the channel and got dropped off downtown.
As we departed the ship, we noticed lots of people moving towards Safeco Field...which could only mean one thing...baseball! I'm ok with the fact that not everybody likes to watch baseball, but going to a game is a treat because checking out these wonderful MLB venues is half the fun. My crew said if we could find tickets under twenty bucks a pop, they'd be into it. Sure enough, first scalper we saw on the streets had a set of four tix for 80 bucks (63 Euro, 84 Swiss Francs, 53 British Pounds, 508 Kroner).
With tickets in hand, we entered the stadium stoked to see the Yankees playing the Mariners. It's not often you run into a Yankees game and dirt-cheap tickets. Safeco Field is one fine place for checking out a game because the upper seating has a beautiful view of the Seattle Port, Downtown and westerly sunset, not to mention a nice cool breeze. We plugged away the three hours with refreshments, talking to locals and chanting "Let's Go Mariners." After the game it was back on the water taxi and a mellow ride home. Thanks for checking in y'all...Blotto
