JH Mechanical Bull Riding Championships

Once in Jackson Hole, it's pretty evident this is a 'cowboy town'...lots of western themed shops, buildings, art work, etc, etc. What goes down in cowboy town during the latter hours of the day you might ask? Well, let me tell you one such event that's sure to please...the Mechanical Bull Riding Championships.

I was fortunate enough to gain ringside access to witness the madness in an attempt to hold onto this mechanical beast for 8-seconds. Doesn't sound like a long time, but once you're mounted and that things starts whipping around every which way, it's a miracle if you can hold on for three seconds!

Many a person tried, many of them tried twice, not a lot made it to the half-way point, but they sure did have a good time trying! Not only did the bull riders have a blast, it was quite possible the onlookers had just as much fun! I know I did! Blotto
