Uplanned ReRoute Part 2

...so after grabbing some earthly ingestible ingredients from a local spot in Moab I hit the highway headed North, planning on being behind the wheel until The SLC. One mile out of town I saw the turn off for Arches National Park and kept on going...until looking back and seeing the road went up the front face of the mountain and continued on...I was under the impression you had to hike into this region...I was mistaken!
The rental car made a u-turn and proceeded upwards onto the Arches plateau...and I was now embarking on dumb luck scenario number 2 in the same day...whoa. As soon as you enter the park it's a journey through sandstone formation city...unreal circumstances of wind-based elements and moisture tearing away at rock for centuries upon centuries...it snapped me back to my Jordian memories of Wadi Rum.
Sunset was happening, so I made quick work at as many locations as possible...you could never see enough in two hours time in this zone, so my goal was get a feel for the place and document as quickly as possible at each site. I ran out of daylight quick, so long exposures welcomed darkness as sunset gave way to the stars.
I couldn't be happier with my decision to leave the beaten path of I-70 after scratching the surface of the Moab District, even if for only a quick afternoon. Guess I'll have to come back for more. Blotto
