Back to the Star

Yep, back at Northstar at Tahoe, my third shoot here this season (Burton movie shoot this time around). It's always a pleasure shooting on the slopes of Northstar because you're working side by side with the Snow Park Technologies squad and the Park Crew...that means proper builds, attention to detail and the flexibility and understanding in getting film shots and photos.

On top of this Burton shoot, Craig Wetherby and Asa Turner from Frank 151 rolled into town to ask me a few questions about photography and follow my footsteps throughout the day. It was super fun having these guys around documenting what I do on any given day in the winter season.

While shooting a Danny Davis ad during the day in the slush-pipe, Alex and Zak rolled by after scoping the terrain we'd be using that evening. I only mention this because their kits (choice of clothing) were hilarious! Since it's nearly sixty degrees (15 Celsius) during the day on the slopes, they went up in board shorts and jeans. We talked them into staying awhile and taking some pipe runs with Danny. Maybe it's just me, but snowboarding in shorts just doesn't look correct...must be the big 'ol snowboard boots attached to some skinny legs?

Three days total at Northstar, all evening shoots...stoked! Blotto
