Window Seat Installment 12

My good friend and fellow photographer Neil Hartmann recently wrote some good words about these Window Seat installments on his website (click here). After viewing his post, it motivated me to gather images for Installment 12, seeing how I hadn't posted any photos from high in the sky in some time.

Neil lives, works, snowboards and raises his family on the Northern Island of Japan. For the past twelve years he's always taken care of our crew when we visit...from host to tour guide to someone who really cares about showing visitors a good time in his home country...and of course bringing us to epic powder stashes in the mountains!

Obviously he and everybody else living in Japan are facing great challenges with the recent disaster and it's continuing effects on everyday life. Things are definitely not back to normal by any stretch of the imagination, so if you have any interest in seeing more of what's still happening in Japan, dig through his weblog and you'll get an idea of current events. Not all of it is negative, there is plenty of hope, determination, motivation and good times happening...Japan's people won't be held down. Blotto
