Window Seat - Onboard Photo Annual

I often post 'Window Seat' photo galleries on this website, so I sent Sami and Danny a bunch for the Onboard Photo Annual 2010. They hit me back with a few questions and assembled a fine layout over two pages...stoked! Enjoy, Blotto
Airline miles traveled last season: 144,840 km (90,000 miles)
Countries visited in 09/10: Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Norway, Canada, Japan and many locations around the United States.
Downdays: In the ‘days of shooting film,’ downdays meant no work, maybe a snap here and there, easy style. Nowadays with digital photography, downdays become ‘editing days.’ Kinda harsh, too much work!
Digital Shots Taken: Between my DSLR, 4:3 Camera and Mobile Phone, it’s somewhere in the range of 25,000 images taken in the 2009/2010 season.
Film Shot: I wish!
Bags Lost: I’ve been really lucky in this category through the years, and 09/10 was no different. No delayed bags, no lost luggage, smooth sailing! Now I’ve jinxed myself!
Overweight Luggage: This is the never-ending battle at every check-in desk! One must utilize Jedi mind tricks and a Star Alliance Gold Card (if you travel a lot, you automatically receive one of these), but even then, the charges aren’t pleasant. In lieu of this, I’ve changed up my flash kits quite a bit in the last few years to try and check in less bags/weight, but still have enough flash power and tripods to get the shots I want under any circumstance anywhere I go by plane.
About these window seat photos: Sitting on an airplane for any extended amount of time isn’t the funnest thing to do, but I do enjoy viewing the Earth from above and snapping a photo from time to time. Under normal circumstances with airline travel, your destination could be an exotic vacation, a family visit or for snowboarding, so sitting on the plane for a few hours is well worth what you’ll experience upon touch down.
