NZ Arrival

A day in Sydney was followed by an afternoon of traveling…completing the mission to New Zealand to start work on the 2013 Burton Dealer Book. A mellow pass through Australia customs got us on the plane for the two-hour flight across the Tasman Sea.

The destination city was Queenstown, so as you approach the west coast of NZ, the mountains dive directly into the sea and you catch your first glimpse of the snow capped peaks. Snow levels are a bit meager this season (so far), but that shouldn’t hold back our photo shooting opportunities too much given the level of snowboarding nowadays and riders’ work ethic.

After passing Kiwi customs, it was off to fetch the rental car, load up the gear and head over the Crown Range pass towards Wanaka…which will be our home base for the next two weeks. Thanks for checking in y’all…more blog posts soon…Blotto
