Got Scenic?

It goes without saying New Zealand is an absolutely gorgeous country; it’s always been a blessing to visit this land to see and experience the sights. Basing out of Wanaka, I’ve taken the road towards Treble Cone the last couple of evenings about an hour before sunset to witness this area in all its glory. You really don’t have to do much but aim the camera in any direction and you’ll come away with a gem of an image.

During my drive last night a controlled burn was sending a fair bit of smoke into the atmosphere and the setting sun cast its horizontal rays through the plume producing a great effect. The skies were partly cloudy as well, so you’ll see in these images how varied the back, mid and foregrounds are with natural light being controlled by the cloudscape. No complaints. Blotto
