Bottom Line Art Gallery

As the Pirates have done in the past for select video tour stops, they take much of what’s in that year’s book and put it on display, art gallery style. The evening following Friday’s World Premier, the boys got busy preparing the space with a healthy amount of originals, prints and photographs for all to see.
One particularly interesting installment was the props from the movie introduction and rider segments. For every Pirate movie to date, each introduction (of any kind) and DVD menu have been one hundred percent analog. This means a couple weeks worth of stop-motion footage being filmed under the direction of Flo. It’s easy to think you could do this digitally, but the Pirates aren’t about that. They prefer the analog route that involves no computer interference, and it does set them apart from the norm. Having these items on display gave you a glimpse into the number of pieces involved and the time it took to get them ready for filming. Respect.
After the gallery closed down for the evening, it was one final night with DJ A-Dog at the Blue Chip in downtown Innsbrooklyn…and we made it count! Blotto
