Charles' Back Rodeo

I’ve been around my fair share of hip jumps throughout the years with the Burton Team, but it’s possible the Mammoth version for Standing Sideways might take the cake. Beautifully sculpted upon arrival, double sided and a steep landing to die for. Factor in the level of snowboarding nowadays and you get Charles Reid going massive, executing a technical trick to perfection and riding away clean. He makes it look easy right? Just remember, it’s not when you consider just the low margin of error hip jumps serve up.
Charles is a cool, calm character hailing from Quebec, Canada. Always friendly, always down to ride, film, shoot photos or chill out. Once he’s on the slopes and it’s go-time, the level is brought up once Chuck drops in. His usual posse on these hip jumps is Kazu, Mikkel and Jack Mitrani, who all hold their own and feed off of each other, all while having big smiles on their faces! The photographers and filmers need to be ready...we’ve all learned by now that once any of these dudes drop in, it’s probably going to be wicked. All told on the height…between 24 – 28 feet...Blotto
