Berlin Arrival

Departing Newark took some time as a windy, lightning filled storm system rolled through the area for the better part of an hour. Once the skies cleared the airport system took another couple hours to get back on track, resulting in some lengthy delays. My flight was direct to Berlin, so no reason to stress any connection times…my arrival would be set back four hours, which worked out perfect to catch the arrival of the tour bus at the hotel. I’m hopping on the Santigold Tour bus for the next week to document the crew as they travel through Germany and France.
Being a first timer in Berlin and arrival day being a non-show date, we caught a quick walk over to the Berlin Wall, checked out the artwork and bought a few pieces of the structure that no longer exists. The second part of the day would be spent at the Ableton HQ so Ray, Ian, Aku, Kelo and Monica could provide the electronic music and mixing manufacture with some valuable feedback on how they're using the system on tour. Ableton is an audio engine for music/video editing and performing…in a nutshell.
Evening rolled around and so did a nice home cooked meal at Carlos' house...which I could tell was a very welcomed occasion for the band that's been touring since March! Blotto
