Monday through Sunday, the snow is always falling—here, there, everywhere. Snowboarders are out making it happen, whether it’s shooting, filming, or good old riding. Lift-accessed, mini-shred, or powder, it’s all good. So is a freshly-cut pipe, stadium contest, and the sweet backcountry shred.


The following seven images provide a small taste of what’s out there for your choosing: a shot pulled from each day of the week during the winter of 2006. Each image has a completely different story of its own, but what they all share is the sense of freedom that comes from doing what you want, where you want, when you want.

 

The freedom snowboarding allows us all is unparalleled. Eight days a week, the shots are racked up in hopes of standout video parts and epic images in the magazines. Eight days a week, the slopes are filled
with snowboarders pushing their skills for personal gain, without a camera in sight. On any given day, snowboarding is moving forward by progressing and inspiring
