Far Sighted Aesthetic - Snow Planet
Portfolio pulled from Snow Planet Magazine Issue 62, Barcelona, Spain - May 2007
A far-sighted aesthetic can be described as stepping back from the immediate action filled area to take in a bit more of the surroundings.
I want the viewer to look at the photograph for some time, figure out where the rider is within the image and then consider the surroundings that are contributing to the snowboarding action itself.
I favor the angle that’s pulled back, telling more of the story. It has a bigger impact on me then selecting a position that reveals the message immediately through tight angles and even tighter cropping.
This portfolio displays a few photos I’ve collected over the years within the “Where’s Waldo” category.
