Modifications: I run an unorthodox Japanese Sugino Zen chainring, on Italian Campagnolo cranks. I think a beefy chain ring like the Zen is crucial for my style of riding through the NYC streets - a lot of slow & go sprinting, constant slap-shot braking, and torque for throwing the bike up at any velocity.
